Offering a classic above-ankle cut, rubberized toe cap, and recognizable midsole/outsole, this modified Chuck Taylor then equips a laceless canvas upper, secured by a Velcro shroud that reaches across the throat for a smooth look. A snap closure on the elastic collar offers further security, while a classic Converse badge appears in its standard spot on the medial ankle. Two colorways have been presented: a classic all black and a military-style olive green with black and white detailing.
These aren’t the only modified Chucks we’ve seen this season as Converse US recently altered the onetime basketball shoe for their Cold Weather Collection, but as the seasons change their arrival overseas is certainly a timely one. Both pairs are available on converse.co.jp now, and retail for ￥8,250 (approx. $76 USD).
