Colorful Sequin Drenches Converse Chuck 70 & Pro Leather
Inspired by the glistening effect of the sun hitting a snake’s scales.

Converse‘s Chuck 70 Hi and Pro Leather are two of the brand’s most lauded and influential silhouettes, and now they’ve both received shimmering stylings via a new pack that blends sequins with snakeskin-like patterns. The duo of onetime basketball shoes have arrived in three different iterations — two versions of the Chuck 70s and one of the Pro Leather — all of which use a different palette, but each of which is inspired by the glistening effect of the sun hitting a snake’s scales.
One Chuck 70 Hi mixes green, red and black for what’s arguably the loudest look of the bunch. Equal parts holiday-themed and Gucci-esque, it cuts an undeniably striking swath. The second Chuck 70 offers a traditionally glamorous black and pink mixture, while both are completed by a high-gloss sail midsole with black accents and a brown outsole.
Meanwhile, the Pro Leather opts for a shimmering silver and black combo, reinterpreting its classic basketball cut in a whole new fashion. A Converse Chevron logo in black appears on the midfoot, and the heel provides a slight pop of contrasting color with its printed blue embellishment. A white rubber midsole-outsole combo finalizes the look.
All three pairs will release on October 25 at retailers like Footpatrol. The MSRP is set at €80 EUR for both colorways of the Chuck 70 Hi (approx. $89 USD) and €90 EUR (approx. $100 USD) for the Pro Leather.
That’s not all we’ve seen from the Converse Pro Leather in the past few weeks: it has also returned in an OG white/red colorway alongside a similarly styled All Star Pro BB.
