Watch Coldplay Perform Upside Down in New "Orphans" Video
One of the lead singles from the forthcoming album, ‘Everyday Life.’
On the heels of dropping off its song “Orphans” earlier this week, Coldplay has returned with the official video to accompany the track. The song, which reflects on going back and being “young again,” hails from the band’s forthcoming album, Everyday Life, that’s expected to release next month.
The video was directed by Mat Whitecross and captures the group as they rehearse and perform in a number of ubiquitous locations. Several shots turn the camera perspective upside down in order to shake things up, flipping the script on what would typically be a normal occurrence. “Orphans” was also shared alongside the record “Arabesque,” which is also slated for the line-up on Everyday Life.
“[The Album] is our reaction to the perceived negativity that’s everywhere,” Chris Martin stated to NME. “And there is a lot of trouble, but there’s also so much positivity and so much great life happening.”
