New Era and Yohji Yamamoto Rejoin for Expansive FW19 Collaboration
Branded caps, tees, backpacks, smartphone gloves and more.
Every few months New Era rolls out another collaboration with Japanese master Yohji Yamamoto or his Y’s sub-label. The trend continues for Fall/Winter 2019, as the pair deliver a wide array of branded layering pieces, bags and, of course, headgear.
Yamamoto’s script logo graces several 59FIFTY and 9THIRTY caps, with the flat and curved brim styles each offered in muted black, dark navy or burgundy with large or small branding embroidered at the front of the crown. A matching beanie and “Adventure” safari cap are executed in black, with branding to match; all the headgear also features a rectangular leather patch emblazoned with Yamamoto text. A functional tote bag, sling pouch and backpack offer extra storage on the go, while a set of white and black long- or short-sleeved tees sport logo prints at the chest. Rounding out the drop is a pair of black gloves, complete with touch screen-friendly finger pads.
Expect the new collection to hit select Yamamoto stockists and New Era Japan’s web store on November 1.
Most recently, New Era linked with BornxRaised for a Los Angeles Lakers-indebted collaboration.
