Caliroots Brings FW19 Collection to Washington Heights, NYC

Following its Pre-Fall ‘19 “Back to Reality” lookbook featuring traditional back-to-school aesthetics, Stockholm-based brand Caliroots has returned with its Fall/Winter 2019 presentation. Unlike Spring/Summer 2019, which was shot on a OnePlus 7 Pro Series phone, the latest looks were captured on film in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood, inspiring the lookbooks’s name: “In The Heights.”

Caliroots’ in-house ESSENTIALS line products are featured alongside statement pieces from Aimé Leon Dore, Wacko Maria and Engineered Garments. Anchoring the looks is a selection of footwear from young labels like Eytys and timeless standbys like Timberland 6”-Inch Boots, Nike Air Force 1s and Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars.

The collection is heavy with fall-friendly pieces, like cream sweaters and cardigans, yellow corduroy dresses and green cargo pants. Bold leopard print informs a lightweight jacket and matching hat, offering a bold contrast to the more understated styling. Other highlights include a vest sporting a large pouch on the back, a long-sleeved shirt with a an abstract print and bright pink trousers.
