John Elliott continues his ongoing Nike partnership with a clothing capsule to accompany the forthcoming LeBron Icon QS “Parachute Beige” sneaker. The brief offering consists of two types of layering pieces abetted by a washed cotton cap, all informed by Elliott’s coastal Californian heritage.

The duo’s second collaborative clothing effort, this drop sees Elliott remixing a versatile Nike hoodie and long-sleeved T-shirt with an understated palette that draws from a childhood getaway. “The story for our current season is rooted in the idea of a ‘dream home,’ which for my mom and our family was a coastal ranch house in Northern California,” Elliott explains.

“It’s really exciting, because you put a technical shoe through an earthy lens and complete the look with the apparel too,” continues Elliott. “When I approach anything with Nike my goal is to create something that is timeless. The shoe, as a project, wasn’t easy. It required a lot of trial and error, but it has helped us find a way to form something that brings basketball culture more fluidly into our overall style choices.”

What results is a quartet of hoodies and shirts executed in desaturated beige hues to match the sandy shades seen on the LeBron Icon “Parachute Beige.” The hoodies boast a contrasting stripe on the rear and drop shoulders for a cozy fit, while the shirts offer embroidered Nike branding at the shoulder and John Elliott x Nike logos at the wrist. A matching hat, also replete with co-branding, completes the set.

The LeBron Icon apparel line drops October 9 via John Elliott’s website, Nike’s web store and stockists like Barney’s.

Most recently, Elliott partnered with Caterpillar for a collection of elevated workwear.
