After announcing the all-new permanent space earlier this week, A$AP Rocky flew into London to officially launch AWGE‘s new Selfridges location. The space — located in Selfridges’ Men’s Designer Street Room — is inspired by New York Rocky’s Harlem hometown, with references to the city appearing throughout the space.
Items on sale are sold against backdrops of the Harlem skyline, while landmarks and places important to AWGE are recreated in miniature form throughout the space. Continuing the New York influence, there are repeated nods to the city’s bodegas, which was also the concept for Rocky’s pop-up at Selfridges back in 2017. AWGE have also added a number of tributes to the late A$AP Yams, including an image of him with a halo and a version of the Statue of Liberty designed to look like him.
The space, which is now open, features a range of AWGE-themed merch, as well as a new collaboration with NEEDLES, Babushka Boi-themed pieces and even a hand-stitched A$AP Rocky Doll. A number of the pieces are also available from the Selfridges web store.
