070 Shake Broods Over Lost Love in Video for "Fish On Land"
The latest effort from the G.O.O.D. Music signee.
After releasing “Morrow” and “Nice To Have” earlier this year, G.O.O.D. Music signee 070 Shake, real name Dani Moon, is back with another new single entitled “Fish On Land,” releasing the new cut in the form of a music video.
As she preps her debut project, Modus Vivendi, the new single offers a continued taste of what’s to come—she imbues her contemporary take on hip-hop with a variety of dreamy soundscapes, filled with tranquil Mike Dean synths and atmospheric fills, setting the foundation for her brooding vocals. Shake here remains melancholic in her depictions of lost love, but somehow shifts her sound to relish in a unique take on raw motifs and R&B sound profiles.
Alongside the single, the music video sees clips on Moon dealing with her crisis with love on a beach landscape, intercut with scenes of her working in the studio, and more. In a way here she symbolically showcases the trouble with love she’s experienced, and her coping mechanism of imbuing these emotions within her music.
