AJ Tracey Taps Take A Daytrip for New Visual & Single "Cat Pack"
The deluxe version of his debut LP is on the way.
Back in June, AJ Tracey enlisted General Levy and Novelist for the official remix of “Ladbroke Grove,” a highlight off his self-titled debut album. Now, moving forward to the next stage of his career’s narrative, the fast-rising star-in-the-making is teaming up with Take A Daytrip for a new single titled “Cat Pack.” Notably, “Cat Pack” is being released in support of AJ Tracey’s forthcoming deluxe spin on AJ Tracey, the fittingly-titled AJ Tracey (Deluxe). The official “Cat Pack” video was put together by director Hamish Stephenson and cinematographer Jaime Ackroyd, with Tracey himself also handling some of the visual’s directorial duties.
“My goal isn’t specifically to be known in America I just want people globally to hear my music. I feel like as I just keep on doing it and making what I’m making branching out — it’s gonna happen eventually,” AJ Tracey told us last month for a recent edition of our Conversations With series, opening up about his current set of goals and sharing his thoughts on his craft’s current creative landscape. “Music’s in a great place right now in the U.K … whatever you wanna make, people have an ear for … there’s not one sound you have to make.”
