Norlan Unveils Inventive Drave Water Pipette & Carafe Set
With a sleek method of adding water to whisky.

Iceland-based designer Sruli Recht’s boundary-pushing creative methods collide with Norlan’s avant-garde glassmaking to develop the Drave Water Pipette and Carafe diptych. Using the pipette, the user applies water droplets to the whiskey in the carafe that helps elevate the overall tasting experience. “When you add water to your whiskey, a little bit at a time, you can open up flavors and aromas that may have been suppressed by the alcohol,” said Norlan in a statement.
Boasting a square profile, the pipette is wrapped in a textured matte surface made of aluminum. For the carafe, it features an “ultra-futurist form” with its exterior going from gloss to matte or transparent to opaque.
Head over to Norlan’s website to purchase the set for $350 USD and then check out the video below to get a closer look at the application method.
