Rumored across the sneaker blogosphere, then confirmed by Foot Locker EU, Kobe’s 81-point-game sneakers are set to rerelease on the historic night’s anniversary.

Thirteen years ago, on January 22, 2006, Kobe Bryant torched Jalen Rose and the Toronto Raptors for a magical 81 points. While doing so, Bean sported his Zoom Kobe 1 in a hallmark team colorway of white, purple and black, with minor hits of yellow. Today’s commemorative colorway comes on the new-and-improved Nike Zoom Kobe Protro 1, which features a lighter, simplified build and the most current Air technology. “[The] Protro [line] is about evolution and improving on things that were,” said Bryant earlier in 2018.

As mentioned, Foot Locker EU confirmed a January 22 release for the Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro “81 Points,” and considering that’s the anniversary, we can expect a Stateside release for the same day. Price is rumored to be $175 USD.
