An Official Look at Nike's Racing-Inspired Air Force 1
Releasing for All Star Weekend.
Following on from a first look at the sneaker — which emerged back in December — Nike has given a look at its upcoming racing-inspired take on the Air Force 1. The shoe is set to release for this year’s All Star Weekend, which will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina. The racing design is a reference to the city’s Motor Speedway and the racing culture of the region.
The sneaker’s blue, red and white colorway takes inspiration from the Charlotte Motor Speedway’s official logo. Other features of the sneaker include decals around the midsole and heel, as well as a Nike racing lacing tag and tongue patch, an AF1 heel patch, speed racing stripes on the heel and 3M hits. While there’s no official release date, the sneakers will release at some point during the All Star Weekend in February.
