Helmut Lang Releases Archive Pieces With New Certified Pre-Owned Program

Looking to build on its storied label, Helmut Lang recently launched its new Certified Pre-Owned Program.
The new line of historic garments looks back at the label’s archive through rare, vintage and authenticated pieces sourced from the personal collection of Helmut fans. The first installment spotlights the collection of Jim Walrod. Walrod is a self-taught interior design consultant, curator, collector and prolific connector who has worked with the likes of Jean Nouvel, Richard Gluckman, Andre Balazs and Mike D of The Beastie Boys.
Some notable pieces include the FW 1999 Astronaut Parka, FW 2000 Ballistic Polyamide Padded Parka and SS 1996 Moleskin Zip Donkey Jacket. In acquiring Jim Walrod’s collection, Helmut Lang has pledged to support the development of a forthcoming initiative from the Walrod Estate that will connect young creatives with mentors in a bid to keep Jim’s collaborative spirit alive.
