New Balance's Updated 608 Sneaker Returns to Store Shelves
An elevated take on the classic dad shoe.
New Balance introduces new colorways to a shoe that rivals that of the Nike Air Monarch. Offered in either Beige/White and Grey/White, the New Balance WX608 RW1 takes on a mid-top silhouette and features uppers made from panels of leather and synthetic materials.
First seen in January, the chunky runner is a twist on New Balance’s classic 608, which originally came out in the ’90s. This new style takes on a comparatively understated look, with neutral tones and simple branding. As this is intended as a walking shoe, the WX608 RW1 enlists a rather large, yet lightweight, injection-molded EVA midsole that is matched with New Balance’s ABZORB heel cushioning. The only pop of bright color comes in the form of a white-threaded heel loop in bright red.
Those interested can find both colorways of the New Balance WX608 RW1 in women’s sizes over at Allike where they retail for €95 EUR (approximately $110 USD).
