Debuting the first personal computer in 1981, IBM kicks in with another technological breakthrough. During the currently ongoing 2019 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the US tech giant revealed the world’s first quantum computer tailored for commercial use, the IBM Q System One.
The capability of the IBM Q System One surpasses those of classical computers which is highly competent in processing sizeable data and complex algorithms. With the help of quantum computations, the system has the potential to revolutionize pharmaceutical, financial as well as technological fields.
Boxing up wires and circuit boards, the metal, cylindric system unit is enclosed in a nine-foot-tall, nine-foot-wide cube of half-inch thick glass. The insulated design provides an optimum temperature for the qubits and therefore maximizes the accuracy and durability of the computer.
Take a look at IBM’s Q System One video below. In more tech news, LG is to release world’s first rollable OLED TV.
