Virgil Abloh's Louis Vuitton SS19 Collection to Debut at Chrome Hearts Pop-Up
An early chance at the eagerly-awaited clothes, bags and accessories.
Following the London debut of Virgil Abloh’s Spring/Summer 2019 Louis Vuitton collection, the French fashion house has announced an upcoming pop-up to bring the goods stateside. Hosted by New York’s Chrome Hearts flagship store, the “temporary residency” will include a limited selection of items from the forthcoming collection, ranging from floral-drenched layering pieces to the chunky “Millionaires” sunglasses.
Thematic Wizard of Oz goods include the “Brick Road” crewneck sweater, poppies & Dorothy-emblazoned windbreaker and a metallic silver poncho inspired by the Tin Man, crafted from treated leather and paper. A selection of more understated items accompany these statement pieces, like the leather “Savoir-Faire” trench coat, a beige brushed mohair intarsia sweater and even an “Prism LV” charm attached to an upscale carabiner. Accompanying the wearables are a plethora of bags, including the standout holographic “RGB Prism” keepall and monogram-laden messengers, trunks and stoles, all weighed down by beefy ceramic chains.
Visit the Chrome Hearts flagship from January 10 onward to shop a curated selection of Louis Vuitton SS19 goods before they arrive at global LV stores.
