The Phoenix trio Injury Reserve — consisting of rappers Ritchie With A T and Stepa J. Groggs with producer Parker Corey — make their return in a strong way with “Jawbreaker,” their stellar first single featuring Rico Nasty and PRO TEENS. To go along with the song, the Corey-directed music video was released accompanying the song and finds the group holding a runway show while discussing fashion, individuality, and hypebeast culture. Rico Nasty, in particular, comes through with the second verse, delivering one of the best verses you’ll hear this year, period.

“Jawbreaker” is the first single off their upcoming self-titled debut LP dropping via Loma Vista, the Universal-distributed label whose roster currently includes St. Vincent, Iggy Pop, HEALTH, Ghost, Marilyn Manson, Rhye, Sylvan Esso, and Alice Glass, among others. There is no release date for the album but it will be dropping soon.

Watch “Jawbreaker” video above. Injury Reserve released an EP titled Drive It Like It’s Stolen in 2017.
