Ella Mai Delivers Striking New Video "Shot Clock" Single

Currently on tour overseas, Ella Mai revisits her debut studio album’s third official single and “Trip” follow-up, “Shot Clock,” for her latest music video.
For the “Shot Clock” visual, Ella Mai teams up with award-winning director Colin Tilley, who has worked with other superstars such as Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Future and more. The 10 Summers artist’s latest clip was put together in a way that showcases her multi-layered personality and artistic leanings while ensuring the focus is on her exceptional strengths as a singer-songwriter. Notably, “Shot Clock” was also the first track Ella Mai recorded and created for her self-titled LP.
“Sometimes people are complacent and think that someone will be around and waiting forever,” Ella Mai told a Reddit audience in 2018, breaking down the message and theme behind “Shot Clock. “Don’t take anyone for granted. Use your time wisely.”
