Casanova Drops New Single and Music Video for "2AM"
Featuring Tory Lanez & Davido
Roc Nation‘s Casanova recently dropped the audio and visuals for his new single “2AM,” the lead track for his upcoming EP Free At Last.
The Brooklyn-native took a trip to Nigeria for the video, having Davido show both him and Tory Lanez around the country. The song is a mix of all three artists’ talents, a perfect blend and interpretation of an afrobeat-style jam, combining West African music styles and more modern elements of American hip-hop.
The music video is set in Lagos, Nigeria and there is an important reason why Casanova chose to shoot in this location as he explains in an interview with Fader, “It meant everything to me. It was amazing to visit the Motherland. I felt free and one with my roots.”
