T.I. & Young Thug Reconnect for Smooth New Single "The Weekend"
A new song off ‘Dime Trap.’
Earlier this week, T.I. revealed that Dave Chappelle was serve as a sort of guest-narrator for his long-awaited studio album Dime Trap. Several years in the making, there’s a lot weighing on the release of T.I.’s upcoming LP. Now, continuing to support the promotional campaign behind Dime Trap, T.I. serves up a new single featuring Young Thug, “The Weekend.”
The third Dime Trap single to hit streaming services, “The Weekend” serves as one of the biggest collaborations on the aforementioned LP. Previously Thugger and T.I. had a hit on their hand with 2014’s “About the Money.” Besides Young Thug, Dime Trap will also feature records with Yo Gotti, Anderson .Paak, Meek Mill, Jeezy, YFN Lucci, Teyana Taylor and others.
“I got no time for the f*ck shit, I’m gettin’ money or die / Get the fuck on with distractions, I’m way too dope not to have it,” T.I. spits ” Rather say ‘bye’ and stay fly than stay a part and me die / Some shit it just ain’t no sheeshin’, either you with it or not / If you gon’ measure my bad more than you measure my good / Just think it coulda been worse, I could be dead in the hood / Instead I’m out here with Swizz, poppin’ bottles and shit.”
