Cristophe Lemaire and his partner, Sarah-Linh Tran, hit Paris Fashion Week with a sophisticated selection of flowing Spring/Summer 2019 gear. In line with Lemaire’s collaborative Uniqlo U line, the collection leaned genderless, with dramatic, shapely coats and slouchy trousers informing the majority of the looks.
Lightweight blouson jackets were tucked into loose washed denim and knee-length layered skirts, creating dramatic proportions that gave the graceful shapes a human shape. Patterns included an abstract, marble-like print, miniscule plaids and splotchy black-on-white tie-dye, serving to elevate the shapely items with immediate visual appeal. The generously-cut overcoats, shirts, tunics and high-neck jackets were accompanied by thin silver jewelry, shapely leather bags, lightweight scarves and slim leather belts, refining the mature range with additional hints of luxury.
