RIMOWA Taps Key Creatives for 120th Anniversary Campaign

Virgil Abloh, Roger Federer, Adwoa Aboah, Yoon Ahn and Nobu Matsuhisa each contribute a film.

LVMH-owned luxury luggage imprint RIMOWA is rolling out a heavy-hitting campaign in commemoration of its 120 years in business. The brand has tapped several current-day cultural icons to contribute films breaking down their take on the concept of travel.

Off-White™ & Louis Vuitton’s Virgil Abloh, tennis superstar Roger Federer, AMBUSH co-founder and Dior Men’s jewelry designer Yoon Ahn, model Adwoa Aboah and famed chef Nobu Matsuhisa each partnered with a director to create personalized responses to the prompt, yielding a quintet of distinct short films. At the core of each video is an emotional response to each of the creatives’ relationship with travel, realized by way of conceptualized interpretations of the theme. The disparate narratives range from Abloh’s artful take on a mid-flight phone call to Aboah’s struggle with depression, combated through regular traveling.
