Fox Shares Pilot Episode of 'Rel,' Starring Lil Rel Howery
Ahead of its Sunday debut.
Following his role as the scene-stealing TSA agent Rod and Chris’ BFF in Jordan Peele’s directorial debut, Get Out, Lil Rel Howery has taken his skill-set back to the small screen for Fox‘s new sitcom, Rel. The show will be loosely-based off Howery’s life as a divorced man as he tries to balance life between his children and his career. Originally set to debut on the network following this Sunday’s NFL kickoff game, Fox has released the episode in full on YouTube. Watch the full first episode above.
Rel, which will air regularly at 9:30 p.m. on Sundays starting September 30, also stars Sinbad as his father, Jessica Moore, and Jordan L. Jones who plays Rel’s younger brother, Nat. Besides Get Out, Howery has also stared as Jerrod Carmichael’s brother on the NBC sitcom The Carmichael Show as well as a short stint in Insecure.
