Matthew McConaughey Stars in Harmony Korine's "Subversive New Comedy" 'The Beach Bum'
The film’s lead trailer has arrived.
The lead trailer for Harmony Korine‘s new film The Beach Bum has surfaced.
The Beach Bum stars Matthew McConaughey as Moondog, the rebellious rogue who always lives life by his own rules. The movie follows his “hilarious misadventures,” and is billed as a “refreshingly original and subversive new comedy.” Joining McConaughey as the film’s co-stars are Snoop Dogg, Zac Efron, Martin Lawrence and Isla Fisher.
“I would very much like to see the film, when it’s released, be shown in rooms that spread curls of marijuana [smoke],” Korine previously told Telerama, breaking down how he hopes audiences first digest The Beach Bum. ”It is possible in some states, such as California, that have legalized this drug for [medical use]. We already have about thirty rooms that have accepted.”
