Razer Is Teaming Up With Microsoft for Xbox One Keyboard & Mouse Support
The Xbox One’s next step towards PC compatibility.

Microsoft has enabled keyboard and mouse functionality to the Xbox One alongside Razer. Currently, only select Xbox members will be able to use it during its trail usage in the coming weeks. Although it will be compatible with nearly any keyboard and mouse, Microsoft is utilizing hardware by Razer so users can purchase their own Chroma lighting effects.
Jason Roland, the director of program management at Xbox, stated: “Mouse and keyboard input is not enabled by default for games. Each development team knows their titles best and we support them in creating the right experience for their games as they see fit, to ensure an optimal and fair gaming experience.”
People who play games, like first-person shooters, have a greater movement advantage than players who game using a controller. This new implementation is expected to arrive sometime next year after careful considering feedback from Xbox testers. Recently, Xbox released an adaptive controller for gamers with certain disabilities.
