Inspired by classic Americana sportswear and reinterpreted through a luxury streetwear lens, the collection is broken up into four categories — Team Jungle, Team X, The Sound and Islanders. Leopard print, florals, mixed media tie-dye, and oversized jerseys are conveyed in streetwear staples. Don C’s vision is conceptualized around a league of different teams that flow effortlessly onto and outside the sports arena. In reference to the intention behind the capsule, Don C states such:
The inspiration behind the collection is always sport. My brand’s DNA is based within luxury sports, heritage, style and fashion. In doing so of the inaugural collection, I’m approaching it as if it was a sports league and being a sports league you need teams. For Fall ‘19 we will have expansion teams and for every season we’re going to grow until we have a full built out league of actual teams. I want players to play in the league and not just a basketball league. Like multi-sport league that’s my real vision for what I’m doing in this fashion arena.
The collection launched as a limited-run trunk show that enabled customers across the world the chance to pre-order while exploring a Don C curated Spotify playlist, an acknowledgment to music being a major influence in his life and in the collection.
