Nike Football Releases Mercurial Vapor PE Dedicated to Luka Modrić

Nike Football has celebrated Luka Modrić‘s triumph in the 2018 FIFA Awards by releasing a special edition boot named after the Real Madrid midfielder. The boot — an updated take on the Mercurial Vapor PE silhouette — features an iridescent upper, with touches of green, white and gold included in the color palette. Other features of the boot include lightweight plates under the forefoot and heel, which are contoured to maximize comfort and control.
Modrić’s win comes after a strong season for the player, which included winning a third consecutive Champions League trophy with Real Madrid as well as captaining Croatia to the World Cup final. It is also the first time for 10 years that the Best Male Player prize has not been worn by Cristiano Ronaldo (who came second this year) or Lionel Messi (who was replaced by Mo Salah in the top three). There is currently no release date for the Nike Mercurial Vapor PE Modrić.
