Joji Delivers His Take on the "Ultimate Power Ballad," "SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK"
A new single in support of his debut album.
A month after linking up with Ryan Hemsworth for “Think About U,” Joji delivers a new video and single, “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK.”
Billed as an “exercise in relatable self-loathing” and its creator’s spin on the “ultimate power ballad/torch song,” “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK” stands as one Joji’s most anticipated drops; bootleg versions of its May 2018 live debut have already racked up over half-a-million streams on YouTube, and reworks and covers have already surfaced. Notably, “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK” is also being released as the latest single in support of Joji’s debut studio album BALLADS 1. The track is co-produced by Chairlift’s Patrick Wimberly, who previously worked with Beyonce, Solange and others.
Directed by Jared Hogan, Joji’s video for “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK” can be checked out above.
Back in July, Joji and 88rising released the “Head In The Clouds” video.
