Apple Introduces the Entry-Level iPhone XR
With the most advanced LCD display on a smartphone.

Before wrapping up its Gather Round event, Apple revealed its new entry-level iPhone X model, the iPhone XR. It features a 6.1-inch LCD screen in lieu of OLED, however it still retains an edge-to-edge display that Apple has dubbed Liquid Retina. It will use a new aerospace-grade aluminum and glass casing rather than the stainless steel edges found on other X models.
The iPhone XR will also feature a new haptic touch feature for pressing on the home screen to instantly launch the camera or flashlight. It possesses a 12MP with OIS wide-angle camera and the same photo capturing technologies as iPhone Xs and Xs Max, as it running on the same A12 bionic chip. Additionally, the Photos app can edit picture depth like its beefier counterparts, while housing an improved battery that provides an hour and a half more life than the iPhone 8 or 8 Plus.
The iPhone XR comes in six new finishes: white, black, blue, yellow, coral and (PRODUCT)RED. It will be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB starting at $740 USD. The XR can be preordered starting October 19, while arriving at stores on October 26.
