iLoveMakonnen, Rae Sremmurd & Mike WiLL Made-It Unite for New "Love" Single
A potential hit from the ex-OVO artist.
Joseph Okpako/WireImage)After several months of relative silence on the music front, iLoveMakonnen rejuvenated his career with June’s Fun Summer Vol. 1 EP and the May release of “Lonely Girl” and “Line 2.” Now the ex-OVO artist reemerges with his biggest single of 2017.
Linking up with popular duo Rae Sremmurd, Makonnen serves up the Mike WiLL Made-It-produced joint single “Love.” Although his 2017 output has lacked any sort of direction or cohesion, it looks like Makonnen is back to grinding for the remainder of 2017. Considering the starpower he enlisted for today’s drop, he’s probably hoping this new cut could be a potential hit. In recent interviews, Makonnen has also expressed a desire to put all the recent label drama behind him, noting that he doesn’t harbor any sort of ill will towards his former OVO cohorts.
