Netflix has released the first trailer for Mudbound. Co-written and directed by Dee Rees, this story revolves around a black and white family who share residence on a single farm. Taking cues from the Southern epic based on the Hillary Jordan novel of the same name, the black family works for the white family and their coexistence together weave a joint story revolving around racism, economical stability, and the woes of World War II.
Already brimming with Oscar buzz, the movie is set to premier at the Toronto International Film Festival and has a release date of November 17 on Netflix. The film stars Mary J. Blige, Garrett Hedlund, Jason Mitchell and Carey Mulligan.
