Ray Liotta Plays KFC's Latest Colonel Sanders
“For as far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be the colonel.”
KFC has announced that the chain’s newest colonel will be played by Goodfellas actor Ray Liotta. Liotta will be featured in a series of ads promoting Georgia Gold honey mustard BBQ chicken and Nashville Hot chicken, new additions to KFC’s menu which aren’t actually that new.
Fun fact: Darrell Hammond, Norm Macdonald, and Billy Zane all played a version of Colonel Sanders for KFC in the past, with the former donning more gold than King Midas to promote KFC’s original Georgia Gold chicken. Check out Liotta’s best rendition of a southern colonel accent in the trailer above.
