Surf Is Dead follows up its “Wave Rave” capsule initially spotted at the outset of summer with a new lookbook, this time to showcase the release of Drop 5.0. The new installment draws creative inspiration from ’90s surf punk, strategically deviating from ubiquitous floral board shorts, gleeful high-fives and other such cheerful niceties. Instead, the streetwear imprint thought to touch on the assertive side of the sport, one categorized by crashing waves and fiercely competitive characters.

Embracing a diverse color palette, spanning everything from highlighter-style orange and bright turquoise to clean white and muted grey, the collection itself pools together an assortment of hoodies, crewneck pullovers, and caps each sporting its own brand of graphic imagery and/or satirical taglines. Check out the lookbook above and to cop pieces from the collection, be sure to drop by Surf Is Dead’s online shop.

In other fashion news, Aimé Leon Dore’s Fall/Winter 2018 collection adds technical elements to timeless streetwear looks.
