sacai FW18 Offers Clashing Patterns, Loose Cuts & UGG Boots
‘GRIND’ styles Yosuke Kubozuka in a seasonal editorial.
GRIND showcases key goods from sacai‘s playfully idiosyncratic Fall/Winter 2018 collection in a new editorial starring Japanese actor Yosuke Kobuzuka. The season’s clashing knitwear and heavily-patterned layering pieces are at the forefront of the looks, with plenty of buffalo plaid parkas, mixed-material puffers and coats emblazoned with bespoke Reyn Spooner floral prints layered over turtlenecks, hoodies and tees. Jarring pops of camouflage and plaid interrupt opaque longline base layers and layered jeans, while fuzzy hats and elevated UGGs ensure comfort. The intentionally-busy styling obscures some of the range’s clever twists, like contrasting blue panels on a chunky zip-up cardigan and drawstrings at the top of thick turtleneck sweaters.
