News has emerged that Florida rapper Kodak Black has been released from Broward County Prison. The artist was originally facing seven felony charges (which could have amounted to 12 years in prison) after an Instagram-Live video revealed Kodak Black in the proximity of a firearm, marijuana, all while in the presence of a child. Eventually, five of the seven charges were dropped, and Kodak’s sentence was reduced to 364 days in jail.

Taking the time to make the best out of his experience in prison, Kodak has since earned his GED diploma and changed his name to Bill K. Kapri, in an attempt to start afresh. It is not clear when the artist will begin to record music again, but fans remain excited to have him back in the outside world.
