Footpatrol Connects with Highs and Lows for Reebok Classic Collaboration
Finding “Common Youth” in 80s-90s British and Australian culture.
London-based sneaker store Footpatrol teamed up with Perth-based imprint Highs and Lows (HAL) on a special Reebok Classic collaboration. Entitled “Common Youth,” the partnered footwear project draws inspiration from the childhood experiences of Matt Thomas who is the founder and creative director of HAL. “As a teenager, Matt traveled from Australia to England visiting family members whilst noticing the similarities between Australian and British youth culture,” as per a statement.
The range itself boasts two revered silhouettes, the Reebok Classic Leather Clip and the Phase One Pro. Both pairs are equipped with white premium vintage leather uppers alongside burgundy and navy accents that reference the colors the British and Australian passport. Completing the design are metallic gold tones across the models, co-branding details on the tongue portions, and bespoke Lion & Kangaroo Commonwealth crests surrounding the Reebok Classic insignia.
The Footpatrol x HAL “Common Youth” collection will release in-store at a special pop-up shop alongside apparel offerings at 40 Berwick St, Soho W1F 8RX this Friday 24th August. Exclusive products will also be launching in-store at Footpatrol Paris & online at Footpatrol.com at 8:00 AM BST. View the imagery above and let us know your thoughts.
