WACKO MARIA Taps Daidō Moriyama's Sexually-Charge Photographs for FW18
The pair reunite for a Fall/Winter 2018 drop.
Following up on last year’s collaboration, Daidō Moriyama once again contributes his risqué photographs to WACKO MARIA‘s essential layering pieces, offering up a variety of monochrome layering pieces for Fall/Winter 2018. The drop’s coaches jackets, heavyweight sweaters and T-shirts carry the same selection of graphics featuring mouths, signposts and flyers, nearly all showcasing nude clubs and erotic imagery. Black-and-white prints make the imagery even more striking, with the exposure cranked high enough to drown out the bodies of some performers, or blend facial features into the dark background.
Look for the drop to hit WACKO MARIA’s web store on August 4, with the coaches jackets weighing in at ¥13,000 JPY (approximately $115 USD), the tees going for ¥11,000 JPY (approximately $100 USD) and the crewneck sweaters retailing for ¥23,000 JPY (approximately $205 USD).
The Japanese brand recently restocked several of the Hawaiian shirts from its High Times collaboration.
