Jenny Holzer is displaying a series of pivotal works from her four-decade career at Tate Modern’s “ARTIST ROOMS” gallery space in London. Highlights of the presentation include the neo-conceptualist artist’s Truisms, engraved stone benches, paintings with graffiti writer Lady Pink, LEDs, as well as bronze plaques that portray “the texts of political theorists, religious fanatics and impassioned ‘folk’ literature,” as per a statement. Accompanying these major works are lesser-known pieces culled from the artist’s archives as well as new installations that will be exhibited in the United Kingdom for the first time.
