'Avengers: Infinity War' Gets Breakdown Video of its Impressive VFX
See the CG behind the film’s opening act.
Avengers: Infinity War has just released on DVD and Blu-Ray, and visual effects producer Framestore has broken down all the special VFX that went into creating the first act of the movie. We see an obvious usage of VFX when Thanos‘ Q-Ship arrives over New York City, but the Black Order members in tow were also animated.
In the visuals above, it’s revealed Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian were animated similarly as Thanos, as was Tony Stark during his ‘bleeding edge’ armor transformation and Peter Parker‘s Iron Spider suit. About 160 artists painstakingly detailed all 253 shots for the movie’s opening act, however, usage of practical effects were used for Stark’s exploration of the chaotic city.
