Yohji Yamamoto & adidas Join Forces on a Stealthy Trail Boot
One for the urban ninjas.

First seen on the Parisian runway, Yohji Yamamoto‘s Fall/Winter 2018 Pour Homme collection was rife with flowing layers and wide trousers, with plenty of hefty leather derbies and boots to weigh down the layers. A more sleek option comes by way of adidas, dubbed the “YY Trail Boot” — these are not part of Y-3, but are in fact a mainline shoe. Zippered closure makes it easy to step into the tall sneakers, with a sturdy Traxion sole ensuring grippy support on unsteady winter terrain. Rear laces allow for a snug fit, while alternating panels of leather and suede add textural contrast to the monochrome shoe.
Expect the YY Trail Boots to hit stockists later this month for ¥58,000 JPY (approximately $525 USD).
Elsewhere, Yamamoto partnered with Dr. Martens for a selection of elevated 1490 boots.
