The Vincent Van Gogh Museum Taps Vans For Elegant Capsule Collaboration
Van Gogh’s iconic flowers & skulls cover sneakers, tees and a satin bomber.

Vincent Van Gogh‘s iconic oil paintings are a natural match for the wide open canvas uppers of Vans‘s classic skate sneakers, making this collaboration with Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum a natural fit. Old Skool, Slip-On, Authentic and Sk8-Hi silhouettes all sport prints lifted from series of paintings accomplished by the legendary artist, including Almond Blossoms, Skulls and Sunflowers.
Accompanying the six illustrative sneaker designs is a range of clothing offering complementary details, with hoodies and tees emblazoned with more sunflower artwork and Van Gogh’s famous Self-Portrait. Key among the wearables is a satin bomber jacket and cap sporting an all-over Almond Blossoms print, effortlessly blending classic artwork with contemporary style.
The exclusive collection will launch on the Van Gogh Museum’s website soon, with profits “dedicated to the preservation of Van Gogh’s legacy and collection of art.”
Most recently, Vans issued another collaborative capsule with Japanese label WTAPS.
