A Closer Look at Saint Laurent's SS19 Collection In Its Latest Lookbook

Earlier last month, Saint Laurent gave a dramatic showing of its SS19 collection, set against a glimmering Manhattan skyline — a considerable change-up from the usual Paris backdrop. Though the dark stage and glossy black marble runway projected an ultra-contemporary mood, the clothes themselves were a nod to the ’70s. Explaining his direction, creative director Anthony Vaccarello told Vogue he was trying to emulate “the idea of New York, the idea of the icons of New York in the ’70s.” We now get a closer look at some of these details on the paisley print scarves, gold trim blazers, boat hats, and necklaces in the newly released lookbook, fronted by Lennon Gallagher.
