Michael Jackson's Nephew Isn't With Drake Featuring Late Singer on 'Scorpion'
Also, how the Canadian artist acquired the vocals.
With the release of Scorpion, Drake garnered a great deal of attention for his feature choices which included vocals from late singers Michael Jackson and Static Major.
Recently Michael Jackson’s nephew, Austin Brown, revealed he is less than thrilled that the Canadian artist put the “Thriller” singer’s voice on his album. Approached by TMZ, Brown said “I mean, I’m not OK with it,” going on to add, “I feel like, if he didn’t finish it, you shouldn’t use it. Respect the artist, I just don’t feel like it’s OK to use someone’s vocals and change them. It’s music at the end of the day. It’s art.” Drake apparently acquired the vocals from legendary Canadian artist Paul Anka who held onto some unreleased recordings he had with MJ from the early ’80s.
