With the rap world still processing the deaths of XXXTENTACION and Jimmy Wopo, news of the tragic death of Smoke Dawg is now beginning to spread.

According to reports, the Toronto rapper and two other individuals were shot around Queen Street West and Peter Street, in Toronto’s Entertainment District. Occurring before 8 PM EST, all three victims in the shooting were transported to a local hospital in critical condition with the suspects still at large. Shortly after their arrival, a male victim was pronounced dead with associates of Smoke Dawg confirming that it was the rapper who passed away. A fledgling artist, Smoke Dawg was building his following after his collaboration with Skepta on “Overseas” and serving as Drake‘s opener during his Boy Meets World European tour.

We send our condolences to the friends and family of Smoke Dawg.
