Kim Jones Values Culture Over Fashion

For a new British Vogue interview series, Naomi Campbell is sitting down with some of modern fashion’s most influential features to find out what drives them. First up, she linked up with Virgil Abloh to discuss the emotional Kanye West hug, his strategy for Louis Vuitton and more. Taking Naomi Campbell to the Dior Heritage building, Kim Jones provides an insightful journey through his current inspirations and plans. ”I walk around with my eyes open and see what’s happening,” Jones explains. “Culture’s much more important to me than the fashion aspect, because that’s how you reach people much more. That’s one of Virgil’s successes too I think — where people see things and they can relate to it and then they get interested in it and that’s key for me.”
