KENZO Showcases SS18 Collection in "Le Renard Bleu" Multimedia Project
Inspired by the myth of the Blue Fox.
Following on from last year’s project with filmmaker Akinola Davies Jr. and photographer Ruth Ossai, KENZO is back with the second installment of its FOLIO series. Titled “Le Renard Bleu,” the multi-disciplinary project features musicians Midori Takada and Lafawndah, directors Partel Oliva, krump artist Qwenga and photographer CG Watkins.
The film and folio project — which showcase KENZO’s La Collection Memento No. 2 and Spring/Summer 2018 collection — are both inspired by the myth of the Blue Fox, which appears in both Senegalese and Japanese folklore. Beginning with a musical collaboration between Midori Takada and Lafawndah, Partel Oliva then created a contemporary cinematic framework based around the fox. Qwenga appears as the titular fox in the piece.
