Famous Dex, Keith Ape & Verbal Head to Downtown Tokyo for "Japan 88" Video
Another new single from 88rising.
Earlier this week, 88rising promoted their forthcoming compilation album Head In The Clouds with the video for “Peach Jam,” a collaborative cut from Joji and BlocBoc JB. Continuing to build anticipation for the aforementioned project, the 88rising crew link up with Famous Dex, Keith Ape and Verbal for the “Japan 88” visual.
Directed by Michael La Burt, the “Japan 88” video is a rework of the lead single from Famous Dex’s debut studio album Dex Meets Dexter. Notably, the new clip was filmed in downtown Tokyo’s ultra-luxury Ginza Six shopping complex, and the shoot took place during Dex’s very first trip to Japan. Produced by JGramm, the original “Japan” has already racked up tens of millions of streams across various platforms.
You can check out 88rising, Famous Dex, Keith Ape and Verbal’s new “Japan 88” video above. Head In The Clouds is scheduled to arrive on July 20, and will feature contributions from Higher Brothers, Playboi Carti, Goldlink, 03 Greedo, Murda Beatz, Rich Brian and others. 88rising will also launch the inaugural Head In The Clouds festival in Los Angeles this September. A “Head In The Clouds” tour is also on the way.
