M.I.A. Shares First Trailer for Her Upcoming Music Documentary
Slated for a late September release.
M.I.A. has shared the first trailer for her upcoming music documentary, MATANGI / MAYA / M.I.A. The film will be directed by M.I.A.’s former college friend Steve Loveridge. The film is scored by Paul Hicks and George Harrison’s son, Dhani Harrison. The doc follows the international superstar entire life, from living in Sri Lanka as a child right up to being sued by the NFL. It will use never-before-seen personal video recordings from the past 22 years.
MATANGI / MAYA / M.I.A will hit theaters in the U.K. on September 21 and the U.S. on September 28. Watch the trailer above. In other music news, Chance The Rapper just released four new songs.
