Rising Artist/Producer Hero Shares New Single "The Juice"
An ode to toxic relationships from the Calgary-based artist.
Originally hailing from Calgary, Canada, artist/producer Hero has slowly been building a buzz online over the last year, backed by his hard-hitting production and catchy songs that have everyone from A-Trak to Promnite to Sam Gelliatry taking notice. His track “Bitch I’m David Bowie” found its way into many a setlist on the festival circuit late last summer and into the fall, and he also clocked a production credit for Fool’s Gold’s Boscoe last year as well. Since then, he’s been hiding out and working on his forthcoming solo EP VHS POP which will feature him writing, producing and performing all tracks. He describes the music as “familiar sounds run through a VHS player”—modern synths with a retro quality—and will represent a softer, more vulnerable side to the artist compare to his previous production material. The first single from VHS POP is “The Juice,” a longing tribute to toxic relationships which you can stream above.
