These Daft Punk Figures From Medicom Accurately Recall the Duo's Outfits From 'Discovery'
A throwback to the robots’ earlier years.

This is not the first time Medicom has created its own rendition of the Daft Punk duo. Two years ago, the renowned toy maker actually released some suited versions to commemorate Guy-Manuel de Homen-Christo and Thomas Bangalter’s 2013 Grammy win for Random Access Memories – the two attended the ceremony decked out in Hedi Slimane, making them look ultra sleek. This time around toy fans will get a crack at owning two new costumed Daft Punk figures. They’re new in the sense that this is the first time the toys will be available in their 2001 Discovery album costumes. Here, we see them donning their iconic metallic and off-white leather outfits, complete with the high-tech backpacks. The best part however, is that they have LED light-up features in their helmets.
The near 12-inch figures will go for about ¥26,800 yen (approximately $255 USD) each and will release on May of 2017 at Medicom and other participating retailers.
